The University of Tubingen was hosted “Days of Ukraine in Baden-Württemberg (Germany)” on September 19th and 20th. The event was held under the theme “Advancing Science and Education through International Cooperation” while also the auspices of the German-Ukrainian Academic Society and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Art of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. The event was also supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Germany.
About 70 scientists from Germany and Ukraine gathered in Tubingen to share their experience of German-Ukrainian cooperation in higher education and research. Mr. D. Shevchenko, Consul General of Ukraine in Munich, and Mr. B. Finger, Baden-Württemberg Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Art, delivered the opening speech. Also in attendance were Professor O. Garashchuk, from Germany, the President of the German-Ukrainian Academic Society, and Dr. G. Zimmermann, Head of the German Academic Exchange Information Center (DAAD) in Ukraine.
During the two days, the participants had the opportunity to share their own international experience of cooperation, as well as to discuss the directions of further intensification of collaboration between universities of Ukraine and Germany.
