Instructions for Authors

Choose an appropriate journal corresponding to the topic of your research

We offer you to choose one of the following journals, which key topics correspond to the theme of your article at most. Please also consult the journal’s Aims and Scope for further guidance. Ultimately, the Editor will decide on how well your article matches the journal. The aims and scope of the journal, the journal’s target audience and recent publication history, the significance and broadness of appeal of the findings described in your manuscript, and the type of study performed should all be considered before selecting your target journal. Author guidelines for all journals and ethical guidelines

In this section you can find detailed information that you will need when you have written your article and are ready to submit it to one of our journals. Before an article submission we highly recommend to get acquainted with the manuscript organization and following requirements to it. There is guidance on what to include in your abstract and how to choose keywords to help readers find your article. It will be explained how to prepare your manuscript so that it can be anonymously reviewed, and there is information and help on formatting and checking your references and using our journal styles.

Every article should be broken into two separate files: (1) Title Page and (2) Main Document. Read more

Opportunity to evaluate the topic of the article if it is suitable for defined journal

It is essential that authors submit a presubmission inquiry before submitting a full paper. Presubmission inquiries allow authors to quickly find out whether their paper is likely to be broadly suitable for the journal.

The title should be a clear description of the paper’s content. For randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews/meta-analyses, and often other types of studies, the subtitle should include the study design.

For research article presubmissions, the abstract should be divided into sections: Background, Methods and Findings, Conclusions. It should contain all of the following elements, except for items in square brackets, which are only needed for some study types.

For other article types please just submit a short summary paragraph or bullet points.

Before sending materials for review authors can make a pre-submission. They can send the abstract of the manuscript together with a title and keywords to the editor of an appropriate journal to enquire whether the topic is of interest.

Submit your article online

The author must ensure that the manuscript is complete, grammatically correct and without spelling or typographical errors. Manuscripts and associated materials should be submitted electronically to Editorial Assistant of the corresponding journal by E-mail.

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Authors will be provided with a Cover letter which they should complete all details.
A cover letter includes the following information:

  • An explanation of why the manuscript should be published.
  • Confirmation that all authors have approved the manuscript for submission. Each author should sign this letter.
  • Confirmation that the content of the manuscript has not been published, or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Each submission should be broken into two separate files: (1) Title Page and (2) Main Document.

Receive the results of a double-blind peer review process

Each paper is reviewed by the editor and, if it is judged suitable for this publication, it is then sent to at least two independent referees for double blind peer review. Both the reviewer and the author are anonymous. Author anonymity guarantees a fair process of review because authors can be identified through their writing style or self-citation, as well as articles written by famous scientists are estimated on the basis of their reputation, rather than content.Read more
