Participation of Hanna Shvindina, the member of editorial board of “SocioEconomic Challenges (SEC)” journal in 4IR 2020 International Conference in Dubai

Hanna Shvindina, the member of editorial board of “SocioEconomic Challenges (SEC)” journal  took part in the International Conference 4IR 2020 “4.0 Industrial Revolution: Transforming Businesses”  on the 24th of September, 2020, organized by Higher College of Technology, the UAE’s largest applied higher educational institution (Dubai). This conference was held online. Hanna Shvindina published several papers devoted to the Coopetition & Strategies Development in Aviation. The sessions took place during the whole day and were extremely interesting, involved the best experts in the field and top-ranked researchers. The conference took place on the highest level, the discussions were insightful and inspiring.

Anna Shvindina, the member of the editorial board of the journal “Socio-Economic Challenges”, held a lecture-discussion at the the Bielsko-Biala School of Finance and Law, Poland

Shvindina Hanna became a guest Speaker at the Bielsko-Biala School of Finance and Law. The lecture-discussion took place on the 3rd of December and was devoted to the Coopetition Strategy, which is in the focus of the research interests of our colleague. The phenomenon of the coopetition is relatively new and gained its prominence since 1996 after the publication of “Co-opetition” by A. Brandenburger and B. Nalebuff (cooperation with competitors).

Members of the editorial board of the journal “SocioEconomic Challenges” Tetyana Pimonenko and Oleksiy Lyulyov within the project “European policy for small and medium enterprises: prospects and threats for Ukraine” started a course of lectures “European policy for small and medium enterprises”

On November 27, 2020, Tetyana Pimonenko and Oleksiy Lyulyov started a course of lectures “European policy for small and medium enterprises” for students of Sumy State University within the project “EU policy for SMEs: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine”. The specifics of the EU policy in creating a favorable business environment and supporting small and medium enterprises were discussed during the classes. A lively discussion arose during the discussion of the role of small and medium enterprises in the economic growth of the country.

On November 13, 2020, Victoria Bozhenko, Executive Secretary of the scientific journal SocioEconomic Challenges, took part in a webinar on “Not all that gold that shines”, which took place on the BrightTALK platform. The webinar focused on combating unethical practices in scientific communication, as well as how not to fall victim to predatory publications, conferences and other scientific events.

The member of the editorial board of the journal “Socio-Economic Challenges”, Anna Shvindina and the member of the editorial board of the journal “Business Ethics and Leadership” Denys Smolennikov participated in ENCE Annual Conference and Civil Society Cooperation

Our colleagues, Denys Smolennikov and Hanna Shvindina took part in Annual Conference of EENCE devoted to the networking between members, summing up and presentation of the results of the events in 2020, experience sharing and discussion of the outcomes of the activities of the EENCE, events planning for 2021. The conference took place online via ZOOM for several days, from 31.10 till 14.11.2020. EENCE is a network of organizations and experts aiming at promoting exchange and development of knowledge, skills and values on citizenship education in the region of Eastern Europe.

On June 15, 2020, Tetyana V. Pimonenko, member of the editorial board of “SocioEconomic Challenges (SEC)” received a scholarship from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The corresponding attention is well deserved, because according to the Bibliometrics of Ukrainian Science, Tetyana is in the TOP-5 of domestic scientists according to the Hirsch index, which is based on scientometric databases Scopus 9, according to WOS – 7.

Prem Lal Joshi, Member of the Editorial Board of “Financial Markets, Institutions and Risks” Journal, wrote an article about Covid-19 Pandemic and Financial Reporting Issues and Challenges

The article examines the impact of the COWID-19 pandemic on the financial system. The consequences and problems in some main areas of accounting are substantiated. The author notes that the impact of COVID-19 has led to a significant deterioration in economic conditions for many companies and increased economic uncertainty for others, and thus may be an event that may lead to a decrease in utility.
