Інвестиційний клімат в країні в значній мірі залежить від рівня довіри потенційних інвесторів, що актуалізує потребу у наданні економічними суб’єктами прозорої та якісної фінансової звітності. Потужні корпорації, які створили ефективний механізм корпоративного управління, мають можливість в довгостроковій перспективі забезпечувати високі конкурентні переваги, що сприяє зростанню їх фінансової та економічної стабільності. Метою статті є визначення впливу механізмів корпоративного управління на якість фінансової звітності компанії. Правила корпоративного управління, що діють в Саудівській Аравії, були розроблені у 2006 році, потім двічі переглянуті – в 2009 та 2015 роках, та остаточно законодавчо затверджені лише у 2017 році. Інформаційною базою дослідження стали результати електронного анкетування 56 фінансових аналітиків з Саудівської Аравії, обраних за результатами вивчення їх профілів в LinkedIn (фінансові аналітики були обрані респондентами, оскільки вони відіграють значну роль на ринках капіталу та є користувачами фінансової звітності). Автором наголошується, що об’єктивність результатів дослідження може бути підвищена за рахунок розширення вибірки учасників анкетування. Анкета містила 11 питань про корпоративне управління та його внесок у підвищення якості фінансової звітності відповідних компаній. Результати опитування емпірично підтвердили, що корпоративне управління виступає фактором, що сприяє підвищенню якості фінансової звітності, та відповідно – зростанню притоку іноземних інвестицій, тому для корпорацій в Саудівській Аравії дотримання нових правил корпоративного управління є вкрай актуальним. Удосконалення механізмів корпоративного управління сприймаються членами рад директорів, ревізійних комітетів, відділів внутрішнього аудиту як один з основних факторів підвищення якості фінансової звітності.
