Використання прогресивних інформаційних технологій в банківському секторі економіки (що поступово формалізувалось у поняття «онлайн-банкінг») значно полегшило процеси реалізації фінансових транзакцій, зокрема мінімізувало фізичний обіг грошової маси. Мета статті полягає у дослідженні особливостей та принципів онлайн-банкінгу на прикладі італійського банку WIDIBA. Дане дослідження здійснено через призму двох аспектів: стратегічні засади поширення онлайн-банкінгу в Італії; цифрові технології в контексті стратегічної перспективи функціонування італійського банку WIDIBA. В статті розглянуто історичні аспекти впровадження та використання онлайнових банківських послуг. Зазначено, що в Італії на сьогодні публічно зареєстровано 207 функціонуючих комерційних банківських установ, з яких 81 розташована за кордоном, а 6 працюють здебільшого в форматі надання онлайнових банківських послуг. Об’єктом дослідження обрано діяльність італійського банку WIDIBA, що обґрунтовано його цінним практичним досвідом щодо формалізації плану адекватної та своєчасної стратегії входу на ринок онлайн-банківських послуг на основі ретельно розробленої стратегії розвитку. Проведені теоретичні дослідження здійснені в площині аналізу особливостей та специфіки роботи банку WIDIBA за такими напрямами: визначення стратегічних дій банківської установи відповідно до часового лагу функціонування; аналіз показників бюджету банківської установи (чиста прибутковість, процентна маржа, операційні та адміністративні витрати та інше); аналіз звіту доходів та витрат діяльності банку (співвідношення чистого прибутку та збитку, процентної маржі та брокерської маржі); робота з даними фінансового звіту або балансу за структурою активів, зобов’язань та інвестицій, нерозподіленого прибутку; вивчення трендової динаміки грошових потоків (операційні, фінансові, інвестиційні та вільні грошові потоки). Проаналізовано відмінні стратегії, що демонструють, наскільки банківський сектор надзвичайно динамічний та як технологічні інвестиції все ще дозволяють отримати доступ до нових операторів за умови реалізації інноваційних стратегій.
