У статті визначено ключові загрози та ризики для висококваліфікованих випускників на початку їхньої кар’єри. Основна мета дослідження – проаналізувати ситуацію з надмірною кваліфікацією випускників навчальних закладів на початку їхньої кар’єри на ринку праці в Кот-д’Івуарі. Актуальність рішення цієї наукової проблеми полягає в тому, що робота за профілем навчання на початку кар’єри дозволяє випускникам отримати практичний досвід роботи, який би відкривав можливості кар’єрного зростання на внутрішньому ринку праці або закордоном у майбутньому. У межах дослідження проведено опитування щодо відповідності навичок працівника займаній посаді в компаніях. Це опитування охопило 974 випускника загальної, технічної та професійно-технічної освіти, вищої освіти на ринку праці за період 2011-2017 років. У межах дослідження проаналізовано рівень стійкості та оцінено ступінь залежності надмірної кваліфікації на початку кар’єри та надлишку кваліфікації у майбутньому на ринку праці в Кот-д’Івуарі. Методичним інструментарієм проведеного дослідження виступила побудова динамічної пробіт моделі та моделювання випадкових ефектів, що дозволяють зафіксувати окремі непомічені ефекти. Дослідження емпірично підтверджує і теоретично доводить, що надлишок кваліфікації зберігається серед випускників протягом перших шести років їх професійної кар’єри. У результаті дослідження встановлено, шо 62,78 % висококваліфікованих випускників після закінчення навчального закладу зуміли знайти відповідну роботу, тоді як 37,22% випускників займають посади, які потребують меншого рівня кваліфікації. Досвід попереднього надлишку кваліфікації та на початку кар’єри пояснює ризик появи надлишку кваліфікації у майбутньому. Результати дослідження можуть бути корисними для державних установ при прийнятті заходів, спрямованих на надання допомоги випускникам набути практичного досвіду роботи, покращення якості інформації про вакансії на ринку праці, популяризації міжнародних програм для тих, хто шукає першу роботу тощо.
